Can i get a piercing if i am pregnant?

Pregnant is a contra indication, the patient may experience low blood sugar levels, which makes getting a piercing (ear, nose or body) a somewhat risky procedure (albeit small). If blood sugar levels are low, then there is the added potential the patient may (in rate circumstances) faint or pass out. In addition, pregnant women are advised not to take antibiotics, so if they pick up an infection then they will not be able to take the necessary medication to treat the infection. The advice is: do not get a piercing if pregnant.
