Can Ear Piercings Close?

Once you have pierced your ears, it is still possible the ear lobes may close but only within a very short period – typically within 1- 2 months. After that period it is more likely the piercing hole will remain. After an extended period of time, the piercing will most likely remain permanent especially if you have worn earrings. Having said that if you once again remove the earrings, the piercing hole may eventually close up.
